All you need to know about the German Furniture Market
Free Seminar for Exporters to Germany during Meble Polska

The Möbelzentrum Westfalen (Barntrup/Germany), for many years an attractive location for furniture trade exhibitions during the trade fair season in East-Westphalia, sets a mark again. Coinciding with the Meble Polska in Poznan (18-21 February 2014), they are inviting for a free seminar on the characteristics, restrictions, and opportunities of the German and Central European furniture and home decoration market. Location, date and time: Concordia Design, (street) Concordia Design, ul. Zwierzyniecka 3 (near North Exit of the Poznan international fair, ul. Bukowska), February 19, 2014, 18:00 – 20:00 hrs. (advance registration politely requested).

What is the right approach to enter into the German market? What is special here? Which role do the retail associations play as door keepers of the entrance to the distribution channels? – During a seminar held at the IMM Cologne/Germany on January 15, about 20 participants from Poland, Denmark, Estonia, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina and China already got the right answers to these and other vital questions.

Now the Möbelzentrum Westfalen team offers a second seminar in Poland with free-of-charge participation, coinciding with the Meble Polska Furniture Fair in Poznan, February 18 – 21.The German-based fair organizers wish to provide their industries with more than just the infrastructure for their exhibitions: “It is the intention of the Möbelzentrum Westfalen team to really open doors for our potential exhibitors.” says the center’s managing director, Peter H. Meyer. The lecturer in Poznan is Mr. Gregor Noelle, a former MD of one of the largest upholstery manufacturers in Europe, now a free-lance management consultant, who knows all the tricks in the book. His subject: “What to know about the German furniture market: characteristics, restrictions, opportunities.” Facts like market volumes and concentration, shares of product groups, distribution, key players, purchasing strategies, trade shows and sales platforms will be among the topics on the agenda.

The location is Concordia Design, ul. Zwierzyniecka 3, only a few meters walking distance from the North exit of the Poznan International Fair, on February 19, 2014, 6 – 8pm. Representatives from furniture companies interested in exporting to Central Europe are most welcome. Since the number of attendees is limited, advance registration is politely requested (e-mail to Ms Ivona Cerba Tel: +48 61 8302 230, Fax: + 48 61 8302 730, info@survey.pl). Möbelzentrum Westfalen will confirm on a first-come, first-serve-basis.

Möbelzentrum Westfalen, Germany, is the destination ever since of the furniture retail from Central Europe in the sectors of pick-up and knock-down furniture, imported furniture from Europe and overseas for the volume markets (former name “Messepark Barntrup”). Starting in 2012 with the new name, a new product and marketing concept, and strongly enhanced customer services the new ownership of the venue and a new, well-experienced management aim to strengthen the profile of the Barntrup venue, with 31,000 m² of exhibition space the second largest in the East-Westphalia / Lippe region. Exhibitors find facilities not only for showrooms, but also storage/logistics and (sales-)offices.
