Möbelzentrum Westfalen (Barntrup)
holds seminar in Poznan/Poland

The Möbelzentrum Westfalen in Barntrup/Germany, for many years an attractive location for furniture sampling during the trade fairs in Eastern-Westphalia Lippe, has set a mark again: Today, fair organizers offer their industries much more than just the infrastructure for their exhibitions. In this spirit the Barntrup team held a special seminar for Polish furniture producers in Poznan (Poland) in early November.

German management consultant Gregor Noelle, former head of the upholstered furniture division at a major European supplier, introduced the attendees to the special characteristics of the German furniture market. Peter H. Meyer, organizer at the Möbelzentrum Westfalen, put it in a nutshell for the participants: “For us, it is not just about renting out spaces, and that’s it. Our goal is much more comprehensive: We want to open doors into the German market for all of you. You should realize what special things you have to do as a foreign furniture producer in order to gain a foothold in the German market.” Four renowned Polish companies already exhibit at the Möbelzentrum Westfalen. With this event and further activities, the Barntrup team aims at significantly expanding the share of Polish Suppliers at the Möbelzentrum Westfalen
