Barntrup shows its colours at the order fairs 2013 in Germany
15 exhibitors at the “Möbelzentrum Westfalen“

Barntrup is up-and-coming: 15 exhibitors (previous year: ten) from seven countries presented themselves in halls 9 and 10 at the Möbelzentrum Westfalen in Barntrup (Germany) this year. The organizer registered 600 expert visitors at the order fairs from 16–20 September – a plus of nearly ten percent compared to 2012. The exhibitors Arocca, Asiades, Beso Meble, Demeyere Meubles, Dutsh Design, Forte Fabryki Mebli, Finori, Itsese Outdoor Indoor, Lio Collection, Lubuskie Fabriky Mebli, Peterandthewolff, Preform Furniture, Spin Meble, Trade Point and Vivi showcased their innovative product lines in furniture and accessories for the volume markets.

Peter H. Meyer, organizer and CEO of the Möbelzentrum Westfalen, was quite satisfied with the outcome of the fair, “After the promising relaunch in 2012 we have been able to raise our exhibitor and visitor numbers this year. That way we have succeeded in strengthening the Barntrup fair location, and this will give us enough momentum for the next show in 2014.“

Forte will expand further in 2014

This year, the two Polish our long-term exhibitors Forte and Beso Meble had expanded their stand space by 50 percent each. Forte covered 1,500 m², while Beso Meble had increased to 250 m². Paweł Borówko, sales director at Beso Meble, gave a positive review after the fair, “The event has been successful for us and we were able to reach our goals. The feedback we got after the fair was even better than in the previous years. Our preparations for the partner days in January 2014 are under way.” And Forte announced they wanted to cover even more space next year on their partly two-storey stand.

Among the highlights showed by Finori, an exhibitor from Niederfüllbach near Coburg, were functional furniture lines with eye-catching fronts in houndstooth pattern, or curled mirrors. Also the dining room collections and accessories by Lio Design (Indonesia) and Asiades (Hong Kong) were received with great interest by the buying agents. One of the top items presented by the French long-term exhibitor Demeyere were children’s beds shaped like fire trucks.

The trade audience could also meet some interesting new exhibitors at Barntrup, e.g. three companies from the Netherlands: Arocca with small furniture, dining room furniture and accessories, chair supplier Dutsh Design and Itsese with its furniture concept called „Indoor becomes Outdoor“. Preform Furniture and Trade Point from Denmark offered their latest furniture, easy chairs and accessories. The exhibitor group from Poland was extended by the two experts in upholstered furniture, Lubuskie Fabryki Mebli and Spin Meble. German newcomers at Barntrup were the carcass furniture supplier Vivi-Möbelvertrieb as well as the design specialist Peterandthewolff: The company featured massive wood furniture collections, table tops made of high-quality linoleum, and several other collections with extremely easy-to-clean surfaces, all made of natural materials, tox-free and especially child-friendly. These high-quality products are just in line with the future strategy of the organizer. The goal is to turn the Möbelzentrum Westfalen into the first lifestyle-oriented trade exhibition of the furniture season in East-Westphalia-Lippe, all in accordance with the motto “Happy Green Living”.

The next fair dates at Barntrup are already scheduled: The Möbelzentrum Westfalen will open its doors again for the “Partners’ Days” from 28-30 January 2014. And from 14-18 September 2014 trade visitors will be able to see latest product lines at the Autumn Order Fairs.
