Material Connexion Cologne:
Materials show at the Innomateria Cologne, 14-15 May 2013

If you are curious for innovative materials and processes and if you were a visitor to the trade fairs in Cologne in May, you just could not leave out on Material Connexion Cologne (MCC): The material experts presented an assortment of exciting material novelties across 150 m2 at Hall 11.2 next to the South Fair Entrance. The exhibition on either side of the main visitor aisle was part of the 3rd congress fair Innomateria, coinciding for the first time with the Interzum this year. MCC also showcased first prize winners of its new “Material of the Month Award”.

At the MCC exhibition area visitors could discover some 100 amazing material samples from different categories together with numerous sample applications. Moreover, the first laureates of the „Material of the Month Award” were introduced: “Silglow” (HPF), “Tailor-Safe” (Tailorlux), “Philips Lumiblade OLED Panel GL350” (Philips) and “Vestamid Terra” (Evonik). With this award, first launched in January 2013, MCC honors material and process innovations every month, which show potential for the production of extremely high-performing, resource-saving and attractive products, packaging and architectures.

Material Connexion Cologne as a partner to Koelnmesse

Starting a few months ago, Material Connexion Cologne has become partner to Koelnmesse in organizing the congress and trade exhibition Innomateria, which stands for the interdisciplinary congress fair for innovative materials in Germany. Innomateria 2013 focused on lightweight construction/mobility, energy and materials for the interior and design sector. Under the motto “Innomateria connects” the congress gathered stakeholders from different sectors from 14-15 May in order to engage in an interdisciplinary exchange. Supported by MCC the program was enriched by the addition of the topic “interior and design”. The trade exhibition presented applicable solutions, products, services and research results in a concise manner, and the forum area allowed for networking and the presentation of specific projects.

Material Connexion’s global network keeps growing

Material Connexion has been successful in international business for years as a consultant for materials and process innovations. Over the past three years, Material ConneXion was able to expand its reach to Turkey, Korea, China and Sweden. Now the 10th location will be added in Japan: The new MC office Tokyo is scheduled to open in October 2013. It will be licensed to Japanese printing company Nissha Printing Co. and offer the complete services of library and cross-sectoral consultancy with the expert support of its in-house Materials Scientists.
