ZOW – new opportunities!
On November 22 – 26, 2010 Moscow venue Expocentre hosted ZOW international specialised exhibition for components and accessories for the furniture industry organised by RESTEC® Exhibition Company (Russia) and Сlarion Survey GmbH (Germany). For the seven years of work at the Russian furniture market ZOW has again demonstrated high results. Over 160 companies from 15 countries worldwide took part in the Fair with the space of 3000 sq.m.
About half of ZOW exhibitors are Russian manufacturing and trading companies of components, semi-finished products and accessories for the furniture industry. Another half of our exhibitors represented the following countries: Italy, Germany, Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Poland, Lithuania, Jamaica, Taiwan, China, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and many others.
In 2010 the following companies exhibited at ZOW for the first time: ALF International Group, MAGAMAX, Trade House “Eurohim-1”, homa group, NISON. ZOW regular participants are leaders of the Russian and international furniture market, among them: Abet Laminati, AMETIST, BOYARD, VALMAKS, TECHNOCOLOR, Slotex, Skif, SLOROS, Imawell, Hranipex, Lignadecor, REHAU, Schwinn Beschlaege, Sueddekor and other companies.
This year the exhibition profile was added with elements and systems, chemical products, interior decorations, materials and raw materials, accessories and a wide range of plastics and glues. We can certainly say that this year ZOW has demonstrated the largest exposition of fittings and components in Russia.
Pavel Tolypin, the director of ZOW Russia, evaluated the results of the Exhibition as follows: “holding ZOW concurrently with Mebel exhibition in Expocentre has given rise to the ZOW development. Over the last four years the number of exhibitors has increased by half, and the number of visitors – by over 4 times. The majority of the companies that once participated in ZOW become our loyal exhibitors”.
The unique concept makes the project a worldwide popular exhibition. ZOW is a professional fair of ideas and contacts, a place where active players of the furniture market can establish and strengthen their business relations.
ZOW 2010 was attended by over 17,000 specialists who represent manufacturing and trading companies of the Russian and foreign furniture markets, which is a 20% increase as compared to 2009. That is to add to the fact that over 70% of visitors were representatives of top management of the Russian furniture manufacturing companies.
On November 23 - 24 ZOW business program featured Moscow International Furniture Industry Congress (MIFIC). This year the main discussion topics covered: products design and quality, as the ground for competitive advantages, as well as copyright protection; pre-trial\trial quality conflicts with consumers; furniture standardization and certification policy; innovations in the practice of government procurement and online tenders; formation of an effective sales department for suppliers of fittings and components. The round tables and seminars were attended by heads of furniture manufacturing enterprises, representatives of the Center of Furniture Examination and Quality Control, Scientific Center of Moscow State Forest University, Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia, etc.
In 2011 ZOW brand will strengthen its positions at the international market by focusing its attention and efforts on Germany and Turkey, as well as on the Russian, Moscow market.
According to our visitors’ opinions, the most important criteria that distinguish ZOW furniture exhibition from other ones, are its innovative character, unsurpassed services, high level of organisation and unique business atmosphere. The organizers do their best to improve the exhibition and invite furniture specialists who want to be aware of new trends in development of fittings, components and materials for furniture manufacture to participate in ZOW- 2011 in Expocentre, Moscow.
