A giant push forwards!
Clarion Survey expands trade fair sales

Trade fair organiser Clarion Survey GmbH, based in Bielefeld, Germany, has big plans. Focus Küche & Bad in Enger, the FMB supplier show for the machinery industry and ZOW in Bad Salzuflen are all just around the corner and plans are being drawn up for more specialist fairs and business events. So Clarion Survey believes the time is right to invest heavily in sales and develop this side of the business. On 1 August 2010, Daniel Pein (42) have been joined the Bielefeld team as Sales Director and André Bezdiak (39) as Sales Manager. Edmund Lütkemeier (64), meanwhile, who has successfully managed trade fair sales at Survey for many years, is taking his well-deserved retirement in 2011.

"With many years of experience in the international trade fair scene, Daniel Pein is the perfect candidate to take on Edmund Lütkemeier's challenging job and further expand sales," says Peter H. Meyer, Managing Director and shareholder of Clarion Survey GmbH. A passionate salesman, Pein has been working in the IT, industrial, services and advertising side of the international trade fair industry since 1992. He has previously worked for Blenheim International Deutschland (now Reed Exhibitions), K+S Messe-Ausstellungs-Kongress, easyFairs Deutschland and GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen to name but a few. Pein has held many managerial positions and has vast experience in setting up new sales organisations. In his spare time, he likes to participate in sport. He lives near Munich, is married and has three children.

André Bezdiak is making the move from London to Bielefeld to join the ZOW team in Bad Salzuflen. Born in Duisburg, he has gained a vast amount of international sales experience in London. He first worked for the BSI Group (British Standards Institute) before moving to EMC, a well-known producer of corporate infrastructure. Bezdiak has spent the last few years working in the conference division of IT consultancy firm Gartner where he focused on sponsorship and business development. He speaks English and Spanish fluently and has constantly been on the road since leaving school. "Bezdiak's wealth of overseas experience makes him perfect for the job at Clarion Survey," says Group Event Director Horst Rudolph. Bezdiak relishes his new role and is looking forward to supporting the sales team. He enjoys kick boxing in his free time and has put finding a club in Bielefeld at the top of his to-do list.
