Egger agrees to ZOW in Istanbul
International supplier industry comes in force
This year's ZOW in Istanbul will run between 16 and 19 September at the Istanbul Expo Center, CNR Expo, and the list of exhibitors reads like a "Who's Who" of the international furniture supply sector. More than 250 companies from Turkey, Germany, Italy and many other countries will be coming to Istanbul. Virtually the entire international fittings and surfaces industry will attend, including many well-known Turkish and European companies. Egger, which has taken over the Turkish supplier Roma Plastik, rounds things off nicely. ZOW in Istanbul is a sight to behold and will be sure to captivate its audience.
This ZOW trade fair is organised by Survey Fuarcilik Danişmanlik Ltd. ŞTİ. in Istanbul, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Clarion Survey GmbH from Bielefeld (Germany). In June 2010, the new Bielefeld-based company bought the former Survey Marketing + Consulting GmbH & Co. KG and immediately introduced Z-TEC, the specialist trade fair for woodworking machines, and the BUILdIST construction event to run alongside ZOW.
Horst Rudolph, Group Event Director of Clarion Survey enthuses, "We are delighted that ZOW is proving so strong in Istanbul. The portfolio of exhibitors shows that the supplier industry in Turkey is a very important growth market." In October 2009 around 19 000 visitors from Turkey, the Middle East and Europe took the opportunity to visit the CNR site and familiarise themselves with all the latest design solutions for fittings, surfaces, semi-finished products, built-in parts, materials and products for interior design. The workshop concept so typical of ZOW went down well with both the exhibitors and visitors. Everyone involved was impressed with the high quality of contacts made.
Given this success, ZOW in Istanbul, at the junction between Europe and Asia, is becoming a new presentation platform for the international supplier industry. Not only does Istanbul offer the ideal gateway into the Turkish market but also the markets of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates and in particular Iran. While the furniture industry in Turkey and its many immediate neighbours is booming, the Emirates with its huge construction projects and resulting property market is a huge attraction. For the audience from Central Eurasia, ZOW in Istanbul is the one-stop shop for the full range of supplier products in a concentrated and neat bundle.
