Success across the board
ZOW Moscow 2009 welcomes a record number of visitors
In the wake of ZOW Russia 2009, organiser Survey Marketing + Consulting (Bielefeld/ Germany) recorded an extremely positive development – the trade fair attracted around 14 300 visitors from the furniture industry and interior design between 23 and 27 November. Around 130 ZOW exhibitors showcased their products in Hall 7 of the Expocentr in Moscow in parallel to Mebel. ZOW has therefore secured its position as a key supplier fair for the Russian furniture sector.
Business was booming at the sixth ZOW. Many national and international exhibitors had booked stands in Moscow, including market leaders like AGT, Boyard, Rehau, Renolit, Resopal, Schwinn and Süddekor to name but a few. During the five days of the event, the supplier companies provided an extensive overview of current trends and innovations in the supply industry for fittings, surfaces, materials and semi-finished products. With 14 300 registered visitors, more experts than ever before flocked to ZOW at the Expocentr. Last year, the number of visitors took a strong upward turn, with 12 800 registered. Most of the visitors to ZOW 2009 came from Russia and the former CIS States, but there were plenty of international guests in Moscow too.
Peter H. Meyer, head of trade fairs at Survey, is delighted with the recent success. “The excellent result this year proves that ZOW has definitely become a presentation and business platform for suppliers in the Russian furniture market. ZOW Moscow has been running in parallel to Mebel since 2007, which has allowed us to record double-figure increases in the number of visitors each year. ZOW has clearly filled a key gap here. It’s a real boost for the autumn furniture trade fair calendar in Moscow.”
This is also the opinion held by the majority of ZOW exhibitors. They praised the organisation and service and were very satisfied with the number and quality of visitors and their willingness to place orders. Vincent Denarié, export manager at Schwinn Beschläge GmbH (Ober-Ramstadt/Germany), summarises his company’s experience of the fair:
“I can say that I’m more than satisfied. Everything was just perfect.” Votteler Lackfabrik (Korntal-Münchingen/Germany) had a similarly positive experience at ZOW in Moscow, as export manager Manuel Seiz tells the organiser: “The fair was good and we had most success on the Tuesday and Wednesday. The stand you chose for us and the service was perfect this year.” Suppliers such as Boyard and Ametist have already registered for larger stands at next year’s ZOW.
In 2010, all those involved will have the opportunity to capitalise on this year’s success. The next ZOW in Moscow will take place from 22 to 26 November 2010 at the Expocentr.
