Meeting place Moscow
ZOW once again to be held in the Expocentr
In 2009 ZOW will return to Moscow for the third time and again run in the Expocentr at the same time as Mebel. Between 23 and 27 November around 150 exhibitors from Russia and abroad will present their best new products for surfaces and fittings, elements and systems, semi-finished products and materials. In November 2008 more than 12 500 visitors from the furniture and interiors industry were impressed by the innovative approach of this unique supplier show which is setting trends on the Russian market with its workshop concept. A similarly large number of visitors is expected in 2009.
Each November, Mebel brings together decision-makers and representatives from all over Russia in the country’s capital. Anyone who operates in the furniture industry cannot afford to miss what is Russia’s largest furniture exhibition. Presenting innovative suppliers from all over the world, ZOW is the perfect complement to this event, offering real added value to the Russian furniture industry. The trade fair, which has made a global name for itself with events in Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, China and Turkey, stands for effective organisation, intensive communication and quality customer leads. With over 70% of visitors representing top management in the Russian furniture industry, ZOW is a guaranteed source of profitable business.
The focus at ZOW is on new products, which this year will reveal the diverse range of creative ideas from the international supplier industry and expert technical know-how. The most important products at the Moscow ZOW are fittings and surfaces. Fitting manufacturers can boast sophisticated technology and superior design quality in their product ranges. Non-wearing materials, hygienic coatings, compact installation widths and variable adjustment mechanisms are among the latest refinements in the industry. Authentic wood looks are the height of fashion in the surfaces sector. Fruitwoods, where the wood features a large proportion of sapwood, knots or bud marks, fit this trend and such characteristics can be found in cherry, apple, pear and plum woods. Warm red and brown tones with a matt look typify the range of colours. But shiny monotone decors in gaudy colours like apple green and violet are also on offer and are making punchy statements.
In 2009, in parallel to ZOW and Mebel, the organisers are once again inviting visitors to the Moscow International Furniture Industry Congress (MIFIC) at the Expocentr. This event encompasses a wide range of talks, workshops, discussions, exhibitions and networking opportunities for the international furniture industry. Renowned international speakers and a high-calibre audience including prominent figures from politics and business make MIFIC an important diary date for exhibitors and visitors attending ZOW and Mebel. The objective is to “see and be seen”, and this event frequently results in important leads that generate tangible business.
